Founder Keziah Manluctao, who left her desk job as an automation consultant after turning to ice cream for comfort during the pandemic. Unable to travel and missing the food she remembered from her childhood in the Philippines, Keziah started to get creative in the kitchen and launched artisan ice cream company "Araw" (the Filipino word for ‘sun’ or ‘day’) in 2021. Looking beyond the usual chocolate and vanilla, Keziah aims to offer happiness and escapism through gloriously inventive that not only represented her upbringing and home, but cultures and flavours from around the world such as Ube Halaya (purple yam), Basque Cheesecake, Mango Sticky Rice and Roasted Banana with Tahini Fudge.
