The Story of Fixity was an immersive installation by Noémie Goudal, presented by Artangel at Borough Yards. The work featured a three-channel film installation that extended into the surrounding space, combining moving image, photography and painting. Water sat at the centre of the installation, explored through its role in shaping landscapes and sustaining ecosystems, while also reflecting its capacity for transformation and destruction. The work examined the fluid nature of environments, challenging fixed perceptions of time and natural order. Through shifting photographic backdrops and evolving light conditions, the installation moved between night and day, reimagining landscapes in a continuous state of change. It brought together multiple mediums to explore how nature has been constructed and understood over time.
